DJ Ash has been passionately mixing and creating music since 2001, including hundreds of appearances in bars and clubs in Guernsey and around the world.
Starting out with a pair of belt-driven turntables, Dr. Dre’s “2001” album and Ghostface Killah’s “Bulletproof Wallets” album he started getting to grips with hip hop beats. In 2002 he bought a Numark DJK CD mixer and moved to more commercial music playing in bars at the weekend.
In 2006 he moved to Berlin in Germany where he started playing house and hip hop. Later that year he continued the house and hip hop music trend following his move to the UK where he played regular weekend slots in “Truth” and “PR1”, two of the biggest nightclubs in Northern England.
Since his return to Guernsey in 2008, Ash has moved to digital turntables using the likes of Serato Scratch Live and Virtual DJ Pro. He now enjoys playing regular weekends in bars and clubs on the Island as well as bespoke private events.
